Since the fall of 1984, when I first began working with the fields of intuition
and health as a medical intuitive, I have seen an incredible increase of interest
in the coupling of these two areas. We ask the questions “Why am I sick?” and
“What can I do about it?”. It seems that we've reached a time when we are now
ready and willing to rely on our deepest inner-knowing for answers. On the other
hand, we are deeply logical and analytical creatures – how do we combine these
two seemingly disparate worlds? Pursuing this quest and offering a plan to help
people create this balance of intuition and intellect is the rich goal of this
remarkable book by Karen Grace Kassy, MS.
Karen is someone whom I've watched develop for quite some time. We first met
several years ago, following an interesting turn of events. Karen was employed
by my tape publisher. She had heard my audio program, “Why People Don't Heal.”
Fascinated, she wanted to learn more. The day before she was to come to one
of my workshops, she picked out a gift for me, some musical tapes designed to
aid healing. We never got to meet – for the first time in 14 years, I had to
cancel a speaking engagement – I was sick. Karen later sent the tapes to me,
with a note, “I knew you were a medical intuitive and probably know why everyone
is sick and therefore how to be incredibly healthy yourself, but for some reason,
these tapes on healing really drew me. Then, you ended up sick. Isn't that a
funny coincidence?”
Karen's come along way from attributing meaningful events to “funny coincidence.”
A few months after we eventually met, she picked me up at the airport to take
me to a taping. With some trepidation, she confessed, “I know all of your friends
probably think they are becoming medically intuitive, but I really think it's
happening to me. I've been researching the field and practicing. I seem to possess
this ability.” I quickly reassured her that none of my friends wanted
to be medically intuitive, but that I did think it was something that was happening
to her. And, with the publication of her book, it's something that can happen
for you, too.
Karen's background and bachelor's degree are in business, and with that, she
brings a down-to-earth approach that oftentimes is missing in this field. She's
also intelligently researched the field of intuition, earning a Master's degree
in Energy Medicine and Intuition. She calls herself a “health intuitive” instead
of “medical intuitive,” to place greater emphasis on the goal of health. She
is an accurate health intuitive, with a physician-verified ability and healthcare
practitioners who refer patients to her regularly. Early in her studies, I strongly
recommended she follow a similar path to mine: completing an internship with
a physician. Karen has a fantastic passion for learning. She not only interned
with a physician, she took my suggestion to another level and worked with healthcare
practitioners from many phases of complementary medicine. With this broader
perspective, Karen continues to take her field and understanding to new levels.
After developing a simple and accurate method of intuitive diagnosis, she
began teaching her technique to audiences worldwide – with great success. She
teaches that intuition is not a substitute for healthcare, and I heartily agree.
Rather, in our fast-paced era of information overload, it is a way to clarify
information and offer a new perspective. As we are faced with more choices in
holistic healthcare, intuition offers a common ground with which to synthesize
approaches – taking the best of the best to save the patient and healthcare
system time and money.
Karen is a wonderful communicator, both in spoken and written word. Despite
there being more books available on health and intuition than ever before, her
book stands out for it's easy-to-follow, organized, and straightforward approach.
Simply put, her method works.
Through my work as a medical intuitive, I realize that health is about learning
lessons. To this end, recognizing what “unfinished business” each of us has
in terms of patterns, issues, and problems is key to resolving health issues
and becoming more intuitive. In Section I of this book, Karen has identified
a series of common issues that she sees while working with clients as a health
intuitive. Unlike many self-help books today, she doesn't offer only theories
– she provides practical solutions that can improve health and well-being. It
is crucial for each of us to investigate these mental, spiritual, and emotional
issues and to recognize which ones affect us. In each chapter, Karen provides
a self-test of questions and key indicators that will help you discover, and
work to transcend, the issues in your life.
In my own work, I meet so many people who want to learn intuitive diagnosis.
I have also met many people who attest that they have this ability, only to
be disappointed by their lack of accuracy or integrity. By bringing a simple
and effective method of intuitive diagnosis into the public domain (in section
2), there are concerns that this information will be mis-used. Because Karen
addresses this drawback and others with compassion and integrity, I feel that
the door has been opened for us to safely explore our birthright of intuition.
Health Intuition: A Simple Guide to Greater Well-Being is the finest
book I have read on developing an awareness of the intimate connection between
one's intuition and the four levels of health (physical, mental, emotional,
and spiritual) and well-being. This delicious guide is not a one-size-fits-all
intuitive program – thank goodness—rather, it is an empowering resource that
can aid each of us in learning to listen to our inner-voice and improving health
and well-being.
